Total Reader is a practical, data-driven program that helps build life skills, so students are ready for college and careers. Students can work independently at their own pace, reading short passages that are targeted to their current reading abilities. Each time they complete a passage they instantly see their Lexile measure in their personal dashboard.

Students should be encouraged to use their Lexile measure for tracking their progress compared to grade level standards, ACT and SAT preparation, college textbook Lexile levels and the expected Lexile measures needed for various professions.
